Le parc ornithologique du Teich

Julia et Marc DUTREY
Why we recommend these places
One of the most famous reserves in Europe for the quality of its observatories and the proximity to wild birds. Open all year except 25/12. It is also a very pleasant walk in a typical environment of the Arcachon Bay.

Why we recommend these places
One of my favorite walks in the area! Important point: The areas can be visited on foot, FREE. There are many migratory birds, but also sedentary ones. These estates have kept or rather regained their natural charm. . FREE guided tours, once again, are offered regularly by naturalist guides throughout the year. Explanations, observations of fauna and flora, activities are offered for adults and children. or families. It is a magnificent place dedicated to biodiversity to discover without moderation :)

Why we recommend these places
For nature lovers, beautiful landscapes and splendid sunsets. This is the unmissable walk in Andernos les Bains. Behind the oyster port, you access this protected natural site via the coastal path. Depending on the season, you can observe Little Egrets, Spoonbills, Brent Geese, Shelduck, Herons, Grebes... and many others. For bird watching, choose high tide and if possible in the morning. After the fish ponds, you arrive at Quinconces beach. Take the time to appreciate this panoramic view of the Basin. On one side Arcachon, on the other Cap Ferret and between the two, the bird island and its huts. For the more courageous, continue your way to Arès beach and why not to the oyster port. You can walk along the beach almost the entire length of your walk. On the way back, after the Cirès footbridge (border between Arès and Andernos), turn left and venture into the Coulin forest. You will discover majestic trees in this urban forest.
